Chambers Plan News: NEW Teledoc® added to Health Benefit
Chambers Plan is the first in Canada to offer Teledoc® Telemedicine to all groups that hold an Extended Health Care benefit.

WHEN YOU NEED A DOCTOR, CALL ONE ANYTIME, ANYWHERE
Effective September 1st, and at no additional charge, the employees and their dependents, can consult with a physician about non-urgent medical matters by video conference or by phone*, from wherever you are, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Even when you are out of town! - the service is always accessible from your Smartphone, Tablet, or Computer.
Gone are the days of waiting in a waiting room because you forgot to refill your prescription or needing to see your doctor, but having to wait 3 or more days to get an appointment. Not only does this add strain to our healthcare systems, leading to exceedingly long wait times in walk-in clinics and patients progressively seeing non-urgent care in emergency rooms, but it contributes to increased absenteeism in the workplace.
Here are some stats:
57% of Canadians reported they could not secure an appointment with their family doctor within 48 hours.
76% of Canadians found it difficult to secure care during evenings, weekends and holidays.(1)
During your Tele-visit, you can receive a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, and even be prescribed medicine when necessary. Every doctor is certified by the Canadian College of Family Physicians.

How to use:
Simply download the Teledoc® app from Apple or Google Play, complete the quick registration, and request a consultation either by video conference or by phone*.
Let us know if you have any questions about this new, free service provided with your Chambers coverage Extended Health Plan.
*In Quebec, telemedicine services must be offered by video conference
